Touchstone Snail Technologies Limited can arrange door to door delivery at an additional cost, upon a customer’s request, meaning to deliver the cargo directly to the customer at the destination country from or to a final destination beyond load or discharge port.

Clarifications

Τelex Release: A telex release is simply a message that is sent by the shipping line or agent at load port to their office or agent at discharge port advising that the shipper or exporter has surrendered one or all of the original bills of lading that have been issued to them, and that the cargo can be released to the consignee shown on the bill of lading without presentation of any original bills of lading.

F.O.B: Free On Board (FOB) indicates that the supplier pays the shipping costs to a specified destination, at which point the buyer takes responsibility to pay the transportation cost and the custom clearance.

Free On Board (FOB) means that the seller fulfils its obligation to deliver when the goods have passed over the ship’s rail at the named port of shipment and the buyer has to bear the risks of loss or damage to the goods from that point and all the costs and custom clearance.

F.C.A: Means Free Carrier (FCA). The Seller must prepare the goods with a commercial invoice and documentation under the export specifications. The Seller is preparing the export packaging and deliver the snails in the place of delivery or port of departure. Until the place of delivery all the costs are covered by the Seller. The buyer has the responsibility of the cost of transportation, custom clearance and any other local charges.

Insurance of the stock: Any export from Touchstone Snails has an insurance and there is pre-inspection before the loading. The snails are travelling under specific conditions in order to ensure their health. The snails arrive in the destination in excellent condition, following all safety measures from the seller. The snails pass special tests and are certified with a Health Certificate. Each export has a different Health Certificate for the specific batch of snails from the official authorities.

Door to Door Delivery: Delivery to final destination for additional charges, to ensure direct flow of goods from the exporter to the importer (or from the point-of-origin to the point-of-sale) with a minimum of interruption and delay. Deliveries are coordinated according to the consignee’s designated schedule.

The snails that we have for sale come from Touchstone’s snail breeding units or from the snail breeding units of the company’s clients who are under the strict control of Touchstone Snails and implement high level quality standards.

The snails when mature they gain specific characteristics. Then, they are collected very carefully and go through the drying process to eliminate the residues of feed and moisture and to create the white seal. After, they are screened by a special machine and are divided according to their weight. At the end, they are packed in special nets for food and placed in plastic or wooden crates according to the mode of transport and in this way the snails are ready to be shipped to the market.
